Cape Town Update

Lots of miraculous things have been happening here, I will list them out:

1. We have officially established Love Your Neighbour Society in the University of Cape Town!! After our hard work of standing 3 days in the sunny hot weather, we have more than 170 members on our contact list and 96 official members who actually paid to join the club!It is very very successful since we are a new society in UCT and it is not easy. Plus our set up was very very simple compared to the other clubs. I think we had the simplest set up out of all the societies, we only had a hand-made poster and members handing out flyers. But with just that, we had so much members sign up, even more than some other clubs that had been established a while ago.
Our info session was also a great success. With our limited supplies and man power, we were able to pull it off, we even included our love your neighbour dance! haha

2. We were able to find a new meeting place! Because so many of us are living at the meeting place now, and it is not very big. The Lord blessed us with a place at a sports club for a very very low price. We also get access to a gym like Boys and Girls Club in Vancouver. Today was our first meeting there. For me it actually felt like how our meeting is like in Calgary since it is in a rented place and we have to bring the Bread and the Cup there, and everything else. We also have to move the tables and chairs before and after. It really did feel like Calgary haha.
I am responsible for looking after the kids during the chinese break bread. I got to play soccer, net ball, and dodge ball with the kids in the gym. Give thanks to God that He let me have my excercise for the day.

3. We are going to build an extension of the Edu-care center we are helping out with right now. Its going to be so cool to build a building out of scratch! This is super exciting, I never expected to build a house here.

4. We finally got to preach the gospel in Enkanini!! And a couple of children claimed that they believed in God! This is a very great step in our work in Enkanini. Pray that we can continue to move forward and know how to cause them to be clear of salvation and establish their faith. Also to have wisdom to know how to shepherd them.

5. I am learning many new and unexpected things here. I actually got a chance to learn how to swim and also clean a swimming pool haha.

6. I feel God's favor towards us greatly in Cape Town! He has blessed us in everything that we prayed for, and has given us more than we had asked for. Surely He is the God who cares for all the details of our life and everything we do. He loves us so much!

Ok, that's all I'm going to update you on in Cape Town. Please pray for our construction work, as it is a big work, and we only have two brothers and 6 sisters, but I'm sure the sisters can manage. Hehe.

And GUESS WHAT?!? I wont be back in Vancouver until May 6! You know why??? I AM GOING TO SINGAPOREEEE!! The Lord really knows the desires of my heart. In Hong Kong, some b/s shared about the second generations in Singapore, and in my heart I really wanted to go there for a missionary trip, but I dont think I ever asked the Lord to go. However, ON MY BIRTHDAY, my parents told me that there will be a missionary trip to Singapore and asked if I would like to go, and after asking the Lord, I decided to go! This is such a great bday present from the Lord. My ticket and everything has been confirmed! Wow, this missionary trip was first just a missionary trip to Cape Town, but then had been expanded to Hong Kong and now Singapore. Its a triple missionary trip! I feel so blessed to truly go go go for the Lord!!

Picture updates will be coming up soon. Stay Tuned.

Mel: Yes indeed, this missionary trip is abundant to the max haha.
I keep the 2nd gens in Syd in my prayers daily. I know the Lord has great things planned for you guys! I am sure you gained lots in Vancouver that you can feed the b/s in Syd!
I will definitely say hi to LokLok in Singapore for you. I'm so excited to meet other 2nd gens in Singapore!
Thanks for your prayers, I treasure your support!

Katy: Twin, I miss being on the same missionary trip with you! Sometimes, when I wash the dishes here or jog, I think of the times in Fiji haha.
I have come to treasure my response to the Lord in my youth more in this trip.
Keep on going for Him in Toronto, you are remembered in my prayers!
P.S. I apologize for any grammar mistakes =P
