Thanks to God!

Thanks to God for my Redeemer,
Thanks for all Thou dost provide!
Thanks for times now but a memory,
Thanks for Jesus by my side!
Thanks for pleasant, balmy springtime,
Thanks for dark and stormy fall!
Thanks for tears by now forgotten,
Thanks for peace within my soul!

Thanks for prayers that Thou hast answered,
Thanks for what Thou dost deny!
Thanks for storms that I have weathered,
Thanks for all Thou dost supply!
Thanks for pain, and thanks for pleasure,
Thanks for comfort in despair!
Thanks for grace that none can measure,
Thanks for love beyond compare!

Thanks for roses by the wayside,
Thanks for thorns their stems contain!
Thanks for home and thanks for fireside,
Thanks for hope, that sweet refrain!
Thanks for joy and thanks for sorrow,
Thanks for heav’nly peace with Thee!
Thanks for hope in the tomorrow,
Thanks through all eternity!

*I think that our church has a revised version of this song, because I dont remember the song quite like this...I think it might be in hymnal 1, and its for sure in "Pilgrims Joy" wow havent used that in soo long.

This morning after I left the worship team, this song was playing in my mind. In the worship I experienced that the Lord has risen, and His resurrection has given us hope that surpasses all. Because He lives with us, and in us, we really have hope. He provides for every need, He knows us, and embraces us with His mercy. I treasure that He does this because He wants us. Of all things that He grants us, of all things that we do and go through because of Him, He wants us the most. I treasure that the Lord walks with us through so many experiences in life so that we can experience His tender love and mercy again and again. We really have to give thanks!

I am happy to say that I have improved. I really wanted to voice out my meditation, but then I guess I couldnt find a gap to voice it out, usually I would feel very accused, and feel like I failed. But today, I learned to cut that thought quickly, and focus back on what I was enjoying. I feel so...stress free I guess you can say haha, ok thats not the right word, but yeah.
Another thing I've improved on is sleep before 12am! I sleep early and try to wake up early instead of staying up late. I still gotta get used to waking up early, but I think this will be good for me!

So today was the last day of school...at least I think so, I'd better double check that haha. My first exam is SATURDAY! boo, I have to miss the Saturday gathering. Well pray for me so that I will get a C- or higher! Its organic chem and its really not my thing.

And guess what?? I got a job at Nat Bailey Stadium. So very random, but I applied for this like soooo long ago, and I guess they are really short on people right now so they called me on Friday to see if I could work the rest of the season, which ends in the begining of Sept. I could only work 7-8/16 shifts they gave me, but they stilled hired me! So now my childhood dream of being a cashier has finally come true! My first day was Monday, and it was really fun. The Lord provided me with a really good trainer, she was really good, and gave me pointers on who to be nice to and stuff and she shared her food with me haha. And I really experienced that the Lord favors me because I made lots of tips apparently. I didnt think it was a lot, but the people around me were like...we never get tips, and we dont even have a tip jar. But the people I served kept asking me if I had a tip jar, so my supervisor just told me to pocket it haha...yay!

AND guess what else I got????.......

A PET! I got a fish!! A little baby goldfish. I was very excited, a little brother's pregnant fish gave birth to "a bazillion" little fishies, and he was selling them for 25cents each at the charity sale. So I bought one! I love him...or her haha, its so cute! I think it grew already! It's name is salt because it reminds me that I am the salt of the world, "You are the salt of the earth; but if salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men."-Matt 5:13.
I wrote that Bible verse on the box, so everytime I feed Salt, I can remember that I am the salt of the world and not to loose my flavor =)
W's fish is called light, so together we are the salt and light of the world! cool eh?

Ok so thats my quick update, I need to study really bad. I am surprised that I dont feel stressed out...
pray for me! thx
