Open your eyes, and your heart

I was touched to tears today...twice.

1. Today T and I had a chat with a high school student who has just moved here for 3 weeks. Her English was extremely good, but what impressed me was her pure heart for God. She had gone to a Christian school, and she told us in school she would always be raising her hand during Bible class to ask questions. She had so many questions, and really wanted to be clear about God. Two years ago she "believed" in God, and I can tell she really treasures God in her life. She stably goes to church each week, and is really sincere towards God. However, she was not able to overcome sin. She told us she really really wants to not sin, but sometimes it just happens, jealousy, hatred, and anger sometimes goes beyond our control. And everytime she experiences this, she vows to never do it again, but it happens again and again, and she feels bad.
T then shared about how so-called Christians that she talked to in Fiji felt the same way. But when T shared with them how to overcome sin, they were completely set free. (There are many examples, you may ask if you would like to know)
When T shared that, I could really feel her desire to gain this. Her eyes were widened, she really wanted that with her heart.
We shared with her about the perfect salvation, how the Lord cried out "IT IS FINISHED!" Meaning that our sins are all forgiven, past, present, future. (1 John 1:19)
The Lord also was risen meaning that He defeated, Satan, Sin and Death! Proving the fact that we are all forgiven, and that we can overcome these too because He lives in our hearts.
At the end she prayed the prayer to accept the Lord!
And it does not end here, right after she did so, she prayed to the Lord, in her prayer she said to the Lord, that she has been knowing God ever since she was in school, and she went to church for so long, but no one ever showed her how to accept the Lord, how to be set free from sin. She prayed and thanked the Lord for such blessing, and she told the Lord she was so excited!
When she prayed that, I was extremely touched. We never told her to pray, she just did so herself, and I felt that her heart was finally complete, and she was full of so much excitement, and joy that she needed to give thanks to the Lord right at that moment.
I was also so happy for her, that she has finally found what she is looking for, and what the Lord has been waiting to give to her.
When I told some sisters this after she left, I couldnt hold back my tears. There are so many who are searching for the salvation, yet they dont know it clearly. Many Christians think they know it inside out, however, they still cannot overcome sin. Therefore if they cannot overcome sin, they cannot lead a closest relationship with God. I'm so sure that God misses these Christians, and He longs so much for these Christians to be set free and to live in the truth! Therefore He has been ever so passionately bringing Christians from other churches to our church, and I witness their change. I really really extremely have to give thanks, that I am in the church I am today. Because what the Lord gave us, many people, even Christians who have been going to church for a long time, are waiting for what we have. I treasure these past few years, the Lord has started a revival of truths in our church, that we really know how to overcome sin, and therefore we have the way to be close to God. God is our Intimate Friend, Beloved, Father, ect.... and we can enjoy and live in such precious truth each day!

2. Today's meeting, V shared more about our charity work. We watched some videos about the kids and their families, saw their poverty and sufferings. I cannot not think about them. They are so precious, yet no one has shown their love towards them, many are orphans or forsaken by their parents. They are in so much need, needs of life and death. But even more, they need to be loved. The deepest need within, is to be loved and treasured by someone, and that someone is God.
I dont know how to express my feelings about this. I guess I feel that there is so much need in the world. Many, thousands, billions are waiting. Yet most people just turn their eyes and forget about them.
They are waiting for a group of people like us.
Really who is willing to leave their comfortable homes to go to places like Africa to help others? I can tell you that not many are willing. Even if some are willing they may not have the strength to endure it.
Therefore I give thanks that "the Lord has raised this movement, to spread to the corners of the world"(-V). God has prepared us to be a blessing to the world. Our strength comes from God. We can experience Him, His love is in our hearts, and therefore it is natural to love others, it is natural for us to want to go and help. I am really considering going to Capetown to serve the Lord, while doing coop there. I really really want to go, but I must ask the Lord clearly, and my parents first.
We are so important brothers and sisters. The Lord needs you. The world needs you.

And the Lord reminded me, something that I wrote last September. I dont remember out of what experience I wrote it in, but it reminds me of the needs of the world. Here are a couple of verses:

Hidden Cries

I may not have riches
Or food to fill me up
And the deepest need in my heart
Is not just to have some fun

There is something I need
Thats lacking in my heart
I need someone to love me
With their whole heart

I have dreams like you do
I need love like you
I am just a human
Exactly like you

But I may not have much knowledge
Or a place to lay at night
Yet what I need is a reason to live
Though I may not be worthy in man's sight

I can see it in your eyes
Something that I desire
A joy, a peace, a rest within
A satisfied heart

I may not have wealth to give you
I may not know exactly how to care for you
I may bring you fun and games, but these dont last long
Yet I have the most precious to give, Hidden in my heart
Do you want it with YOUR heart?

You are so precious in God's eyes
He's longing to say "I love you"
He admires you, understands you, treasures you.
He's smiling at you to help you smile.

-it is true, we are not just providing for the children's physical needs in our work, even if their physical needs are satisfied, their hearts may still go thirsty and hungry. I treasure that I can do God's charity work. To spread His love, to fill hungry hearts, and thirsty souls.
What we are doing may be very little compared to other huge organizations, but with God, our work, and the results are magnified infinite times!

Here is a video from last year which includes pictures from our charity work. May you open your eyes and see the needs of the world:

P.S. If you would like to support the Charity Work, I would greatly appreciate it if you give me a pledge for the Charity Walk we are doing next Sunday!
You may also go to http://www.lightandlovehome.org to find out more about our charity work, and donations.

This has been quite long, so I must thank you for reading if you have read to the end! =)
