RIP Salt

Thank you for being my first pet ever.
You were such a cute little baby, and so interesting to look at.
Thanks for being another life in my apartment.
Thanks for staying in your plastic container and not complaining.
Thanks for reminding me that I am the SALT and light of the world, and that I am a fisher of men every time I feed you.
Thank you for not dying in those times when I was too busy to feed you.
I am sorry that I didnt change your water when there was algae in it. Thats probably what made you sick.
I am sorry that I was not able to save you with my last efforts.
Thank you for dying peacefully and not tragically.
Thank you for dying before I go to Africa so I dont have to bother with finding someone to take care of you.
Your best friend and brother, Light will live on your legacy.
I will visit him, I promise.
I will also give your rocks, and food to him, dont worry.
Thank you for staying alive for about 4 months. Hope you had a fun life, and I will remember you my little salt!
SALT July 2010-November 16, 2010

Yup, my little goldfish died suddenly. It was fine on Sunday, but it got sick yesterday, and died this morning. How very sad :(
Side Note: I left its corpse in the water while I went to school, and when I came back, it was hypotonic to the water!! That means the difusion of water went into the fish, and it bloated, for you non-bionerds. And some white substance oozed on top of its head which looked like a hat...but I think it might be its brains? gross! I just flushed it down the toilet. Bye Bye little one.
Haha, I dont know why I am so scientific today! At training, we had a practise on how to meditate and we did an exercise of describing an orange, and I was like...each slice has vacuoles haha, V and the other b/s were like...okay....what is that haha. So sad that I couldnt think of another word other than vacuoles to describe the little sacs inside the slices lol.

Today was also a happy day!! OUR TICKETS THROUGH CARE HAS BEEN APPROVED! WOOO! We got our free tickets to Cape Town! This is super exciting and its starting to sink in! Thanks for your prayers!
